Qualifications

• 7+ years of ETL development and data warehousing experience.
• Hands-on Ab Initio (GDE, CoOperating System, EME) expertise.
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server or equivalent).
• Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
• Understanding of star schema data modeling.
• Experience with performance tuning and job optimization.

Responsibilities

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Ab initio Developer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Alpharetta, GA(Hybrid).

Pay Range:

$60/hr - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE)
• Create and optimize graphs, reusable components, and parallel processing logic
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud platforms
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of Ab Initio jobs
• Conduct data validation, quality checks, and error handling
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to best development practices
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in ETL development and data warehousing concepts
• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio (GDE, CoOperating System, EME)
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or similar)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, Client)
• Experience with performance tuning and job optimization
• Familiarity with file formats (CSV, XML, JSON, etc.)
• Experience working with large datasets and parallel processing
