Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. seeks an Ab Initio Administrator to support our growing team in a secure, on‑premises federal environment. You will administer, monitor, and sustain the Ab Initio platform and related data integration infrastructure supporting PeopleSoft HCM.

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments, plus development of shell scripts and runbooks to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in infrastructure, systems administration, ETL platform support, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises Oracle and Solaris/UNIX environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills for operational and administrative support.
• Experience with ETL processes, data movement, batch processing, scheduling, and file transfer mechanisms.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working in secure federal or DoD environments is preferred.

• Monitor system health, ETL job performance, batch processing, logs, interfaces, and capacity; investigate incidents and coordinate resolution.
• Support change control processes, release readiness, audit activities, and environment promotions per security requirements.
• Collaborate with application, database, middleware, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain integrations and ensure stable operations.
• Participate in system hardening, vulnerability remediation, contingency planning, backup and recovery in secure environments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, sustainment, security, and continuous improvement of the Ab Initio platform and related data integration infrastructure supporting PeopleSoft HCM within a secured, on‑premises federal environment. This role requires strong platform administration, troubleshooting, scripting, and automation skills, along with experience operating in highly secure, mission‑critical enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and sustain the Ab Initio platform and associated data integration infrastructure supporting PeopleSoft HCM and connected enterprise systems in a secure, on‑premises environment.
• Install, configure, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot Ab Initio components, supporting servers, and Oracle‑based platform dependencies across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform core Ab Initio administrative functions, including:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, ETL platform support, or related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with on‑premises Oracle and Solaris/UNIX environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills for operational and administrative support.
• Experience with ETL processes, data movement, batch processing, scheduling, and file transfer mechanisms.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM architecture, interfaces, batch processing, and Oracle ecosystem integrations.
• Experience supporting Ab Initio platform capabilities in enterprise environments, including job execution, scheduling, metadata/repository management, and production sustainment.
• Knowledge of operational best practices, including runbooks, SOPs, change management, backup and recovery, incident and problem management.
• Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams supporting mission‑critical systems.
