Responsibilities
  • Define and execute strategic Property & Casualty initiatives in partnership with regional and executive leaders to achieve small business goals and vision.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive strategies, and best practices through external networks, research, and internal collaboration to maintain subject matter expertise and proactive positioning.
  • Develop and implement operational efficiencies that align associates and the organization with shared goals, vision and values.
  • Lead efforts to consolidate and optimize vendor relationships, driving efficiency, cost savings and increased revenue.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to align priorities, identify opportunities for improvement and achieve financial and growth targets.
  • Support the recruitment and acquisition of top Property & Casualty talent for Alera Group’s small business segment.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations in Property & Casualty operations.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business and personal interactions.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes impacting insurance and financial services.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Small Business service team and regional leaders, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Communicate company goals and initiatives, translating them into actionable objectives for individuals and teams.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 and coaching meetings, manage performance reviews, set goals and evaluate team effectiveness.
  • Resolve escalated client, employee, carrier and operational issues, ensuring swift solutions and equipping the team for future challenges.
  • Participate in compensation decisions and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, operations, or a related field required; graduate degree preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in Property & Casualty administration within a carrier, broker, or consulting environment, with a strong track record of client service.
  • 2–5 years in a senior Property & Casualty leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing new or improved Property & Casualty processes, including development of performance metrics and benchmarks.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Successful progression through various Property & Casualty roles, including account management, business development and client support.
  • Deep understanding of the client lifecycle: acquisition, placement, binding, servicing and renewal.
  • Active Property & Casualty broker’s license required.
  • Professional industry designations or certifications strongly preferred.

Salary range is $225K to $250K per year.
