Job summary

Aloha Air Cargo in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Crew Chief to direct freight operations on a dynamic ramp. You will route shipments, coordinate pickups, assemble cargo, weigh items, and supervise loading to ensure proper weight distribution.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and eligibility to obtain an AOA badge and CBP seal; weekend and holiday shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to qualify and obtain an AOA badge and a U.S. CBP seal.
• Available to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Routes inbound and outbound air freight shipments to destinations.
• Receives counter orders from customers and arranges for pickup of freight and delivery to loading platform.
• Assembles cargo according to destination.
• Weighs items and determines cost.
• Direct or participate in cargo loading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
• Itemizes charges.
• Prepares manifest to accompany shipments.
• Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
• Unloads inbound freight and notifies consignees on arrival of shipments and arranges for delivery to consignees.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Load Coordinator - coordinate and supervise personnel in loading of our company aircraft during operations.
• International Document Specialist - trained in handling all required documentation for International Customers/Carriers.

Crew Chief is a working member of the crew and is responsible for directing

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Routes inbound and outbound air freight shipments to their destinations.
2. Receives counter orders from customers and arranges for pickup of freight and delivery to loading platform.
3. Assembles cargo according to destination.
4. Weighs items and determines cost
5. Direct or participate in cargo loading in order to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
6. Itemizes charges
7. Prepares manifest to accompany shipments.
8. Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
9. Unloads inbound freight and notifies consignees on arrival of shipments and arranges for delivery to consignees.
10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Additional duties:

Job Requirements

Compensation

Pay starts at $22.22 / hr
