Shift: Monday-Wednesday, 7am-7:30pm

The role you’ll contribute:

The Diagnostic Medical and Vascular Sonographer, under general supervision, performs general Sonography and Vascular Sonography procedures according to department protocols. Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures on neonatal through geriatric patients, assists physicians with interventional procedures, and ensures all processes are followed accurately. Participates in performance improvement programs, adheres to compliance plans and regulations, and provides outstanding customer service.

• Obtain high-quality scans in relation to patient body habitus and prep status, as observed by radiologists and ultrasound managers.
• Review images thoroughly, complete ultrasound worksheets promptly, and re-scan patients as needed.
• Complete exams timely, evaluate patient prep status, and schedule exams accordingly.
• Use computer systems to update exam status, manage charges, and ensure proper assignment before releasing images.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely, adhere to infection control standards, and transport pharmaceutical waste securely.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of Ultrasound Program
• Basic Life Support (BCLS)
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
• CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or
• RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Med or
• RDMS-OB - Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer-Ob or
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist

Preferred qualifications:

• Graduate of Vascular Ultrasound Program
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare-related field
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (BR) or RT(BS)
