Job summary

Airbus is seeking a seasoned MAP Cabin & Cargo Engineering Team Manager in Mobile to lead the cabin and cargo engineering domain within the MAP organization. The role acts as the technical bridge between the Global Design Office and the Final Assembly Line, ensuring liaison between Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or MBA/administration preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive aerospace engineering experience in design, architecture, or structural integration.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: act as foremost technical authority for Cabin and Cargo engineering domains.
• Airworthiness Compliance: ensure MAP activities meet Aircraft Safety and Airworthiness standards.
• Engineering Deliverables: coordinate on-time engineering support to FAL and Delivery Center through manufacturing process.
• Solution Authorization: create and approve technical solutions including justification reports for repairs or troubleshooting.
• Corrective Actions: monitor and resolve non-conformities with design changes and updates.
• Other duties: cross-functional support and leadership development as needed.
