Janus Soft is seeking an elite Infrastructure Engineer to architect, maintain, and scale resilient systems on Project Shining Star in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will lead cloud infrastructure optimization, container orchestration, and automated provisioning to power high-volume, real-time data alerting across complex distributed environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional development and operations teams to build secure CI/CD pipelines, manage high-throughput messaging streams, and ensure maximum system availability, network routing efficiency, and operational observability in direct support of national security missions.

Mandatory Skills

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Proven hands-on experience optimizing AWS cloud services (EKS, EC2, S3) and automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Containerization & Networking: Deep expertise in orchestrating containerized workloads with Kubernetes (EKS) and configuring robust routing and DNS solutions for high-availability architectures.
• Event & Data Messaging: Demonstrated experience managing distributed messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ to handle high-volume data streams.
• DevOps & Observability: Strong foundation in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipeline optimization, and enterprise telemetry/monitoring frameworks using Grafana, logging, and automated alerting tools.

Desired Skills

• Experience deploying and scaling complex applications within production Kubernetes environments.
• Practical background architecting, tuning, and maintaining high-volume data alerting pipelines.
