Job summary

Janus Soft Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking an elite UI/UX Developer to shape the user experience and visual design of critical digital products on Project Shining Star.

You will lead human-centered design by conducting user research and translating insights into wireframes and interactive prototypes. You will collaborate with product managers, system architects, and engineers to create cohesive interfaces across multiple mission applications, directly supporting defense and intelligence

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Proven track record in user research, translating requirements into functional UI components, and wireframing.

Mandatory Skills

Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

UX/UI Design & Research: Proven track record in user research, translating requirements into functional UI components, and wireframing.

Visual & Structural Design: Strong command of color theory, grid systems, and crafting scalable, visually appealing layouts.

Engineering Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to bridge design concepts with technical implementation alongside agile development teams.

Desired Skills

Advanced prototyping expertise using industry-standard tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and responsive/mobile-first design principles.

Experience building and maintaining unified design systems and reusable component libraries.

Proficiency in micro-interaction and UI animation design.

Hands-on experience conducting structured usability testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
