Weatherby Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a locum tenens transplant surgeon to cover inpatient and clinic duties, with rotating schedules Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun and Wed/Thu, supporting a busy kidney transplant program performing approximately 110 transplants per year. You will provide post‑op care, manage complications recovery, and participate in living donor surgeries, using Epic EMR.

Travel and housing are prepaid; Weatherby consultant support is available, and the company is a charter member

Qualifications

• Robotics experience preferred for complex cases.
• Epic EMR experience preferred for documentation and orders.

Responsabilités

• Cover inpatient service with clinic and call shifts per schedule.
• Perform post-op care, complications recovery, and outpatient follow-up.
• Participate in living donor surgery management and team discussions.

• Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun -- inpatient 7 am - 5 pm; clinic and call


• Wed/Thu -- inpatient 7 am - 1 pm; office hours 1 pm - 4 pm


• Program performs approximately 110 kidney transplants per year


• Hospital/inpatient setting with outpatient clinic component


• Adults, geriatric, and pediatric patients -- living donor surgery included


• Post-op care, complications recovery, and outpatient follow-up required


• Robotics experience preferred
