Job summary

Global Medical Staffing seeks a board-certified pathologist for full-time coverage in Harlingen, Texas. The role emphasizes general surgical pathology with subspecialty experience in GI, GU, neuro, and dermatopathology, and includes hematopathology skills.

FNA cytology, autopsy experience, and microbiology/blood bank capabilities are preferred. Night and weekend call is required, with ongoing coverage through 2027; prepaid travel and housing, as well as licensing assistance, are provided.

Qualifications

• Surgical pathology, GI, GU, neuro and dermatopathology skills preferred.
• Hematopathology with bone marrow and lymph node experience preferred.
• FNA performance and cytology (GYN and non-GYN) preferred.
• Autopsy experience preferred (forensic and non-forensic).
• Microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank skills preferred.

Job description

• Full time -- Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with 9hr shifts
• Night call and weekend call required
• Surgical pathology, GI, GU, neuro, and dermatopathology skills preferred
