Overview
A bumper to bumper, master certified technician capable of diagnosing and repairing any system of theautomobile without supervision. In most cases, are leaders in the shop and chosen to support the developmentof other technicians when needed. At times, may be called upon to interface with customers in variouscapacities.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all Hyundai models including hybrid and electric vehicles (e.g., Ioniq series).
- Diagnose and repair major systems: engine mechanical, engine control, electrical, suspension, brakes, steering, HVAC, and drivability issues.
- Complete work efficiently and accurately according to both dealership standards and Hyundai factory procedures.
- Use Hyundai diagnostic tools and handheld devices to identify malfunctions and confirm successful repairs.
- Conduct road tests to verify performance and confirm that repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about technical issues, needed repairs, and estimated costs/time.
- Document all work performed on repair orders, including recommendations for additional service or safety items.
- Maintain a clean, organized service bay and properly account for all tools and equipment.
- Assist, mentor, and train junior technicians and apprentices in best diagnostic and repair practices.
- Participate in ongoing Hyundai factory training, certification programs, and technical updates.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc.).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an A-Level / Master Technician (Hyundai experience strongly preferred).
- Professional Hyundai certifications at an advanced level (Master Technician or equivalent) – required or strongly preferred.
- ASE certifications in multiple areas (e.g., Engine, Electrical, Brakes, HVAC, Drivability) – highly desired.
- Proficient with modern vehicle diagnostic systems, scan tools, and manufacturer-specific software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently on complex repairs without assistance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).
- Basic hand tools required; specialized tools and equipment provided by the dealership.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program
Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
