Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III to join the Space and Defense Group. You will report to the Performance Leader and work onsite in East Aurora, NY on a 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include water flow and electrical testing, cable assembly, harnessing, crimping, soldering, calibration, and reading mechanical drawings. A minimum of 3 years’ experience and a HS diploma are required.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply English instructions.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Read mechanical drawings and work to controlled documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and cryogenic handling safety.

Responsabilidades

• Perform water flow, pressure, leak, electrical tests and cleanliness checks.
• Assemble cables, harnesses, crimp, solder, weld, install connectors.
• Use portable instruments to troubleshoot and repair.
• Operate gages, transducers, flow meters, data acquisition systems and torque wrenches.
• Read drawings and work to controlled documentation.
• Understand mechanical/electro-mechanical components and repair techniques.
• Handle electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids safely.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment in shop/lab.
• Work in a shop/lab environment; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional PPE, PPE usage as required.
• This position includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.

Work Schedule

Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and will have an onsite, 3rd shift work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

As an A&T Technician III, you will:

• Perform water flow testing, pressure testing, leak checks, electrical testing, and flushing/cleanliness checks
• Perform cable assembly, harnessing, crimping, soldering, welding, and connector installation
• Use portable instruments to trouble shoot and repair
• Operate gages, transducers, flow meters, force systems, data acquisition systems, mechanical measuring equipment, torque wrenches, etc.
• Read mechanical drawings and work to controlled documentation
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical and electronic component/circuits fabrication and repair techniques
• Knowledge of the characteristics, properties, uses and safe handling of electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids
• General knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment.
• Perform duties in a shop and laboratory environment
• Occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring use of protective eyewear and PPE
• This position requires full physical which includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.
