WHAT DO PORTERS DO?

Porters perform a variety of tasks to ensure that businesses operate in a clean, safe, and organized environment. Similar to custodians and janitors, porters are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various types of buildings. Their duties include:

1. Picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using industrial cleaning equipment.
2. Cleaning and stocking bathrooms.
3. Delivering items, moving stock, and assisting with other tasks as directed by their supervisor.

Requirements:

• State Card Room License required, obtainable at the time of hiring.
• Energetic, outgoing, and able to relate well to co-workers and patrons.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Some lifting (under 40 lbs.), standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, weather conditions; outdoor work may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Rate: Starting at $14/hr plus shift differential.
