Textron Aviation is seeking an A&P Trainee in San Antonio, TX. You’ll join the A&P Trainee program to assist in repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of airframes and engine systems, supporting delivery readiness.

Responsibilities include supporting mechanics, using precision tools, performing line service, and maintaining aircraft on ramps. Must have a HS diploma and work toward an A&P license; airport badge may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist mechanics with diagnosis, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of aircraft systems.
• Use tools such as tensiometers, micrometers, gauges to aid repairs.
• Perform line service and general maintenance on company and customer aircraft.
• Maintain visibility of aircraft on ramps and hangar locations.
• Tow, park, and secure aircraft at ramps and hangars as needed.
• Inventory and store personal contents as required.
• Wash, clean, polish, and wax exterior; service interior of aircraft.
• Defuel and fuel aircraft; complete fuel usage records.
• Operate ground power units and other service equipment; clean facilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

A&P Trainees will be a part of the Textron Aviation Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Trainee program. A&P Trainees will assist in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of airframes, engine systems, parts, and components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist mechanics with a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer.
• Utilize equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, and a variety of hand tools to assist mechanics with repairing or modifying systems or assemblies.
• Perform a variety of line service activities for company and customer owned aircraft and general Service Center facilities maintenance.
• Maintain, watch, and meet aircraft on taxi ramp.
• Tow, park, and secure aircraft at various ramp and hangar locations.
• Inventory and store personal contents as required.
• Wash, clean, polish and/or wax exterior; clean and service interior of aircraft.
• Defuel and fuel aircraft.
• Complete fuel usage forms and records.
• Position and operate ground power and other aircraft service units.
• Perform general cleaning of ramps and service center facilities.
• Maintain assigned service equipment and transportation vehicles.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
• Must be working towards obtaining an A&P License.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to obtain airport badge as applicable.
