Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform top-quality maintenance on our university aircraft fleet. You will work with minimal oversight, following Federal Aviation Regulations and industry standards to ensure airworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform authorized maintenance, preventive maintenance, and unscheduled repairs on aircraft, engines, and appliances.
• Assist the Shift Lead with maintenance operations and inventory control.
• Complete documentation for maintenance forms, inspection reports, and aircraft logbooks.
• Respond to maintenance needs promptly, including on weekends and holidays as required.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, approved inspection programs, and airworthiness standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition, and math.
• Read and comprehend instructions, write information, and complete simple forms.
• Current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required with no violations.
• One to three years of related work experience.

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

• Working knowledge of FAR 145, 91 and 43.
• Aircraft Maintenance experience in maintaining light general aviation aircraft preferred.
• Basic PC Software Skills (e.g. spreadsheet, word processing & database etc.)
• PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
