Do you enjoy being the resident expert and mentoring others in your area of expertise? Join our team of top-tier mechanics and advance your career! As an A&P Mechanic V, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for overseeing staff in repairs, replacements, and maintenance of aircraft components. You will supervise checks related to mechanical and functional components, including testing and replacing defective parts. Using various tools and equipment, you will diagnose issues, ensure repairs comply with standards, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the workshop. You will demonstrate expert knowledge in aircraft maintenance, including airframe, powerplant, or combined A&P components.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area leads in ISR and aviation, designing, integrating, testing, certifying, and supporting high-performance systems. They tailor solutions to meet customer requirements, consistently exceeding expectations with on-time, on-budget deliveries.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED, typically with 15+ years of relevant experience. A higher degree may substitute for experience, and related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Must pass written, oral, and practical assessments.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no violations.
  • Reliable transportation to work locations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficiency in aircraft airframe and engine repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Pass and maintain physical requirements to deploy.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
  • Ability to travel regularly, work different shifts, including overtime and weekends.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Experience in a lead role, mentoring and inspecting subordinates.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Ability to meet DoD and Combatant Command restrictions for deployed locations.
  • Willingness to deploy for at least 90 days to OCONUS locations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, holidays, and shifts.
  • Work 6 days, M-Sat, 12-hour days on the 1st shift.
