Job Summary:

Mobile Service Technicians (MST) will focus on the maintenance activities and work scope of Customer aircraft. They will identify and correct issues on malfunctioning aircraft mechanical components and systems. Performs a variety of diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet aircraft and assists with scheduling and coordination of the work of others in the crew. Will assist the MST Lead Mechanic, including coordinating and communicating aircraft issues with the Customer, reviewing the work scope, adding squawks as required, responding to Customer inquiries, and ensuring Customer satisfaction by coordinating with the Service Center Team. Will also assist the MST Lead Mechanic with overseeing the maintenance of the mobile service vehicle, ensuring it is properly serviced and roadworthy.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure timely completion of work scope, performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards. Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on aircraft, involving diagnosis of malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery.
  2. Check, correct, or replace complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear systems, air conditioning, pressurization, and optional equipment installations.
  3. Order and obtain parts necessary for repairs, ensuring cores are returned per procedure.
  4. Follow inspection procedures set forth in FAR Part 145 and ensure documentation procedures are completed as required in FAR 43 and other applicable FARs.
  5. Maintain clear, concise, and accurate reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification for issue and return documents.
  6. Ensure all maintenance and alterations adhere to Inspection System procedures outlined in the Quality Control manual.
  7. Observe mechanical system operations during flight and troubleshoot problems for in-shop repairs.
  8. Communicate safety expectations and monitor the work environment for safety and orderliness.
  9. Identify and correct unsafe acts.
  10. Work collaboratively with team members to meet customer expectations, assisting each other as needed.
  11. Assist the Lead MST in inspecting and maintaining mobile service equipment and ensuring the vehicle's safe operation.
  12. Operate company-owned vehicles or vehicles under Textron control, requiring a Textron-issued driver license and a valid state-issued driver license.
Education/Experience:
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • A&P license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with varied jet, turboprop, piston, modification, and phase inspection as an A&P Mechanic.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years’ experience on Cessna, Hawker, or Beechcraft aircraft.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications, with knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and adhere to Textron Fleet Vehicle handbook and AOA access requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Ability to obtain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
