Vertical Mag in Minnesota is seeking an A&P Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot and repair aircraft to meet company, FAA and customer standards. You will analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to troubleshoot and install components, estimating hours and materials for scheduled jobs.

Responsibilities include scheduling items in the shop to maintain on-time deliveries, validating aircraft systems, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and safety procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess an A&P license and strong knowledge of FAA regulations.
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, work orders and task cards.
• Ability to estimate hours and materials for scheduled aircraft projects.

Job Description

A&P Mechanic:Responsible for inspection, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft to meet company, FAA and customer standards.RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:Fully analyzes all required blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches in order to troubleshoot, repair and install desired product or part. Is able to detect errors and correct through proper departmental channelsSchedules items through the shop to maintain on-time deliveriesChecks all mechanical components prior to installation to prevent damageAccurately estimates hours and materials for scheduled jobsAbility to operate all required ground support equipmentQUALIFICATIONS:Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactionsThorough working knowledge of all current FAA RegulationsThorough working knowledge and use of MM, IPC, SRM and other manufacturers repair and troubleshooting documentsThorough working knowledge of blueprints, work orders and task cards to determine type of configuration and special instructions prior to installationExtensive knowledge of aircraft accessories, components and other hardwareComprehensive knowledge of estimating hours and materials for completing projectsComplete knowledge of aircraft fasteners and applicationsComplete knowledge of all related skill area machines, equipment and hand toolsAbility to install and rig aircraft flight control surfacesAbility to operate aircraft systemsAbility to do engine "run-up" and "trim engines"Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbalSPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Wear appropriate PPE as designated in each work area (e.g. safety glasses, etc.)High School diploma or equivalentAirframe and Power Plant LicenseMust have a good command of the English language, both written and verbalMust possess a valid driver licenseSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:NoneTRAINING REQUIREMENTS:General SafetyQuality System AwarenessWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:Heavy physical effort required on occasionContinuous mental and visual attention requiredEmployees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulationsWork performed in a shop environment on a regular basisOccasional travel to line stationsExposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeableMay work at different workstations as needed, and/or shifts from one station location to anotherMountain Air Cargo, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
