Job summary

Airshare is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic in Kansas City, MO to maintain aircraft in accordance with our maintenance manual and FAR regulations. The role includes performing inspections, repairs, and required documentation, with a Sunday-Wednesday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and an A&P certificate, with 3+ years in general aviation maintenance. You must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Job description

An Airshare A&P Mechanic maintains the aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to our maintenance manual and FAR regulations. They will conduct or assist with all inspections and repairs on aircraft and aircraft sub-assemblies and performs required documentation. This position will be scheduled for Sunday through Wednesday, 6AM to 4:30 PM.

Essential Duties

• Performs scheduled maintenance on aircraft, as assigned.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks.
• Troubleshoots and repairs damaged, worn, or defective mechanical components.
• Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections on aircraft as time permits.
• Reports discrepancies to Maintenance Manager or Pilot in Command.
• Document maintenance activities.
• Completes required paperwork, including return to service requirements.
• Observes current applicable FAA Regulations and GMMs while performing required maintenance.
• Complies with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains general cleanliness of hangar, parts/tool rooms and ramp areas, including operation of hangar floor cleaning machine.
• Performs other duties and assignments, as required.

Qualifications

Requires a high school education or GED and an A&P certificate. Three+ years experience in general aviation maintenance or related field preferred. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
