Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC is seeking an FAA-certified Aircraft Mechanic to maintain Learjet 60 aircraft across multiple bases in the U.S. This full-time, direct-hire role offers starting pay of $60/hr, $70/hr for leads, plus travel and meal allowances.

Expect 10–12 hour days in a fast-paced environment with 34 potential home bases; you’ll work with a tight-knit crew, perform inspections, troubleshoot, and ensure compliance with FARs and FAA data.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• 6+ years of experience meeting 14 CFR Part 65.83 requirements.
• Experience with Learjet airframes and Pratt & Whitney PW305A engines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on Learjet 60 aircraft.
• Complete all work according to manufacturer manuals and FAA-accepted or approved data.
• Follow applicable FARs, company procedures (GPM), and the FAA-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
• Read and interpret aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings.
• Move aircraft in the hangar and on the ramp, including tow-tractor operation.
• Join weekly maintenance meetings to review project progress and resolve phase inspection, service, and repair issues with the Director of Maintenance.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Pay: $60/hr starting, $70/hr for experienced leads (+$5/hr if based in El Paso, TX or Titusville, FL)

Schedule: 8 on / 6 off rotation, or Monday–Friday for El Paso/Titusville residents

Home base: Live in any of 34 major U.S. airport cities – we fly you to the work
