Overview
Inspect, modify, and repair aircraft at the maintenance base. Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repairs on company aircraft. Lead and guide mechanics on advanced tasks. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring devices, recording devices, and troubleshooting navigation equipment. Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for scheduled work. Manage manpower scheduling for aircraft maintenance and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repairs on company aircraft.
- Perform aircraft inspections according to company procedures.
- Use electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring devices, recording devices, and navigation troubleshooting equipment effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical orders.
- Inspect and assist in maintaining company equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate with contract maintenance personnel as part of a team.
- Follow safety protocols, maintain good shop practices, and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Report discrepancies found during inspections to Maintenance Control and follow troubleshooting and repair instructions.
- Ensure all aircraft documentation is completed accurately in compliance with company and FAA procedures before aircraft departure.
- Lead and guide mechanics on complex tasks.
- Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections and repairs.
- Coordinate materials and tooling for upcoming work shifts.
- Schedule manpower to cover maintenance and inspections.
- Assist other departments to ensure on-time aircraft departures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 7+ years of maintenance experience on transport category aircraft (preferably Boeing 737 or 777 series). RII authorization preferred.
- Formal training on advanced systems and avionics for 737/777 aircraft.
- Borescope qualification on CFM or GE-90 engines.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital manuals.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions.
- Ability to lift parts and equipment.
- Flexible to work rotating schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Valid passport and ability to travel occasionally for AOG recovery and special projects.
