Job summary

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) — the largest aviation maintenance training school in the U.S.— is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs), Aircraft Mechanics, and FAA-certified A&P Mechanics to join our team as instructors. This role involves delivering FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum and providing hands-on instruction in classroom and active hangar environments.

We offer a 5-day paid instructor training program, competitive pay up to $33.65 per hour, and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems and procedures in a hands-on environment.
  • Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
  • Demonstrate practical skills used by AMTs.
  • Maintain attendance, grades, and student progress records.
  • Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
  • Create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.
  • Maintain classroom, lab equipment, and training materials.
