Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing others.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment.
  • Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
  • Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.

$2,500 Sign‑On Bonus

Campus Location: 2025 Satellite Pointe Duluth, GA 30096

Compensation: Up to $36 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.

About The Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliver FAA Part 147‑aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands‑on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs). This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics, aircraft mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technical expertise with mentorship and training while delivering hands‑on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments.

Schedule Options
  • Option 1: Monday - Thursday: 6am - 2:30pm, Friday 6am-12pm OR
  • Option 2: Monday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Friday half‑day (flexible hours) OR
  • Option 3: Friday - Sunday: 6:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday 7am - 12pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands‑on environment
