Job summary

AviHire is seeking an experienced aviation maintenance technician with FAA A&P certification to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at various customer locations. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair aircraft systems, while documenting findings and ensuring compliance with FAA and company standards.

The role may require deployment up to 90 days and international travel as needed. Ideal candidates hold an FAA A&P certification, have 1+ years of relevant experience, and can obtain

Qualifications You Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Basic understanding of applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Please be advised that this position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days, depending on mission needs. Deployment is not guaranteed and will be determined at the discretion of the supervisor or management, or as otherwise specified.

• A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.

Qualification We Prefer

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
• Specific experience with certain aircraft models.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
• Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
• Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
