Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an A&P Mechanic I to support senior mechanics in maintenance, repairs, and inspections of aircraft. This entry-level role focuses on learning routine maintenance tasks under supervision while ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

The position is based in the aviation/ISR domain, with opportunities to grow skills in inspections, documentation, and hands-on maintenance while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Familiarity with applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Must have own tools in good working order.
• Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Shadow experienced mechanics during inspections and repairs.
• Document maintenance activities under supervision.
• Conduct routine checks on aircraft components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
• Participate in training and development programs.
