Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced A&P mechanic for contract work in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on heavy maintenance on CRJ 700/900 and ERJ airframes, including C and D checks and interior reconfigurations.

You will work in a hangar and line maintenance setting, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications include at least 2+ years as an A&P mechanic and hands-on experience with heavy maintenance, blueprints, and powerplant systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years as an A&P mechanic.
Experience performing heavy maintenance (C and D checks) on CRJ/ERJ regional jets.
Experience with interior modifications and reconfigurations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform heavy maintenance activities on CRJ 700, CRJ 900, and ERJ aircraft.
Carry out interior modifications to reconfigure seating.
Execute aircraft modifications while aircraft are in the hangar for heavy checks.
Troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines and implement repairs.
Perform engine-related tasks such as blade swaps and component changes.
Work in a Part 121 and/or MRO environment following safety and regulatory standards.
Document all work performed per procedures and regulatory requirements.
