Job summary

Aerotek is hiring A&P Mechanics for a Birmingham, AL area contract-to-hire position. Entry to experienced candidates are encouraged. The role involves hangar and line maintenance, with responsibilities for scheduled and unscheduled work, and rapid-response AOG support.

Qualifications

• A&P certification preferred
• Experience in aviation maintenance
• Military maintenance experience is valued

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and overhauls on commercial aircraft systems and structures
• Use technical manuals, schematics, and engineering data to complete repairs
• Document all work in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
• Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and turnaround inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair systems during active operations
• Coordinate with flight crews and dispatch for real-time updates
