Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective use of available manpower to accomplish task assignments requested by Hanger/Line Manager or MAC Maintenance Control, maintaining the highest level of reliability and safety in accordance with all MAC, manufacturer, and FAA policies, procedures, manuals, and regulations.
- Assign and monitor individual task assignments to mechanics daily.
- Provide technical assistance to mechanics and work on aircraft as required.
- Ensure mechanics maintain current training status on assigned tasks.
- Perform Quality Control checks on work to ensure the highest level of reliability and safety.
- Report daily aircraft status and man-hour utilization to the Hanger/Line Manager.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate for all aircraft and components in accordance with MAC policies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain aircraft in accordance with legality, safety, and reliability standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Heavy physical effort required occasionally.
- Continuous mental and visual attention required.
Qualifications
- Airframe and Power Plant License.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and interactions.
- Thorough working knowledge of FAA regulations.
- Proficiency with MM, IPC, SRM, and other manufacturer repair and troubleshooting documents.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and task cards.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft accessories, components, and hardware.
- Ability to estimate hours and materials for projects.
- Knowledge of aircraft fasteners and applications.
- Familiarity with skill area machines, equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to operate aircraft systems and perform engine run-up and trim engines.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver license.
Position and Training Requirements
- Wear appropriate PPE in designated work areas.
- Responsible for maintenance performed by Class III ACMP, including documentation and references.
- Complete training in General Safety, Quality System Awareness, and basic electrical/electronic classes.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Work in a shop environment, with occasional travel to line stations.
- Exposed to elements but generally not to a disagreeable extent.
- May work at different stations or shifts as needed.
