Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), located in Palmdale/El Mirage, CA, is seeking an A&P Mechanic for Test Operations. You will service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground systems for cutting-edge test programs.

This role supports fleets including MQ-1C Gray Eagle, MQ-9A Reaper, MQ-9B SkyGuardian and related systems. FAA A&P license desired; ability to obtain DoD clearance; strong teamwork and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• An FAA Airframe and Powerplant License is desired.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD SEC clearance is required.
• Must possess: general knowledge, computer applications, basic leadership and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft and ground support equipment for test operations.
• Support test teams for development efforts.
• Perform work on airframe and powerplant in support of test and sustainment activities.
• Troubleshoot aircraft and engine systems to identify solutions.
• Develop and review new processes and procedures.
• Assist in training for various customers.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Review records and ensure proper documentation per procedures.
