Job summary

American Flyers offers a Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program where selected candidates work as A&P mechanics and earn monthly flight training scholarships in addition to a monthly salary.

Maintenance staff will train toward Private, Instrument, and Commercial licenses, with possible extensions to CFIA/CFII, and may transition to Flight Instructor or A&P roles after program completion.

Qualifications

• Must possess A&P certificates.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Successful interview.
• Ability to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• 50-hour, 100-hour inspections on Cessna 172, Piper100i and Piper Seminoles.
• Scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance.
• Air-worthiness directives.
• Powerplant and electrical troubleshooting.
• General maintenance.
