Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services Team is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic in Piney Flats, TN. You’ll perform inspections, repairs and installations on airframe and engine components in a team environment, following customer specifications and data.

The role requires 2+ years in aviation maintenance, ability to read manuals and drawings, and strong attention to detail. Overtime may be required and you’ll work on-site with Bell’s Piney Flats facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of aviation maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals and data.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Overtime availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and maintenance on airframe and engine components.
• Repair sheet metal, perform major inspections and install drivetrain components.
• Safely use hand tools and wear PPE according to procedures.
• Read and interpret installation instructions, manuals and drawings.
• Document work in the work order system accurately.
• Collaborate with team to meet aggressive aircraft schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services Team
Come join the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Aircraft Maintenance team, performing a variety of tasks such as installations, inspections, fabrication, and modification, all in accordance with applicable data and customer specifications. You’ll be able to showcase and grow your technical ability and teamwork skills, while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

What you’ll be doing as an A&P Mechanic (Experienced)

• Perform inspections and maintenance to include removal and repair of airframe and engine components
• Perform basic sheet metal repairs, major inspections and repairs, removal, inspection and installation of drive train components, and post-maintenance flight tests
• Safely and appropriately use basic hand tools and airframe specific tools while demonstrating safe work habits and always wearing proper PPE
• Read and interpret installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and drawings
• Document work performed in work order book consistently and accurately
• Learn and apply knowledge of tasks to work effectively on a team to ensure quality and timely completions of aircraft to meet aggressive schedule
• Other duties as assigned

Skills You Bring To this Role

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of work experience in aviation maintenance.
• Bell commercial rotorcraft experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform job duties, including basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work from detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately with strong organization skills.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
• Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
