Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS seeks an A&P Mechanic B-573 on a Mon-Thu 4x10 evening shift. You will inspect, maintain, modify and repair Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft to ensure airworthiness and on‑time delivery.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, engine and airframe maintenance, and applying service bulletins. You must hold an A&P license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three years of diversified jet, turboprop, and piston maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• A&P License required and must be current.
• Knowledge of 100‑hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures per FAR 43.
• Minimum 3 years’ diversified jet, turboprop, piston maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED (bronze WorkKeys acceptable).

A&P Mechanic B-573 (M-Th 4x10 Evening Shift - 6th)

Description

A&P Mechanic will conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft. Responsibilities include:

• Mechanical Duties

  Perform a variety of mechanical tasks on various aircraft models, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare for flight and delivery.

• Engine and Airframe Maintenance

  Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, including engine run‑ups. Carry out airframe system and component changes, system checkouts, and install service bulletins and kits on both airframes and engines.

• Use of Tools and Equipment

  Utilize equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.

Qualifications

• High school education, GED, or a bonze level WorkKeys certification required.
• A&P License is required.
• Knowledge of 100‑hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is required.
• Experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.
