About us: RAVN Aerospace, headquartered in Ellington Field, Texas, offers a wide range of aviation services across various sites in the US, including Air-to-Air threat replication, Close Air Support, and Test and Evaluation. We operate a fleet of Embraer A-27 (Tucano) and BAe L-59 (Hawk) aircraft, providing on and off-site aircraft operation for diverse clients worldwide. This position is based at our contract site in San Antonio, Texas.

What you get to do: As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting of Airframe and Powerplant systems on the A-27 Tucano and BAe Hawk aircraft, supporting Close Air Support flights. Your duties include:

• Maintaining the premises in a clean and organized manner.
• Assembling and installing electrical, avionic, mechanical, hydraulic, structural components and accessories using hand and power tools.
• Removing and installing aircraft components, testing, troubleshooting aircraft systems.
• Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, systems, and components.
• Servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, and modifying aircraft and engines.
• Performing storage and shipment requirements on engines and support equipment, including documentation.
• Following technical publications and workbooks to meet specifications.
• Completing tasks independently.
• Performing routine inspections and corrective actions on support equipment.
• Operating aerospace ground support equipment as needed.
• Adhering to safety regulations and recording all maintenance actions accurately.
• Loading and downloading aircraft weapons systems.

Requirements include:

• A&P License
• Active US federal security clearance or ability to obtain one
• Experience with turboprop and jet aircraft, minimum 4+ years on jet aircraft
• 2+ years as an A&P Mechanic without violations
• Clean driving record, willingness to travel within the US
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, pass drug screening

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience on Tucano and/or Hawk aircraft
• PT6 and turboprop experience
• Military aviation background
• Valid US Passport and willingness to travel
