Epic Aircraft in Bend, Oregon is seeking an Afternoon Shift A&P Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot airframe, avionics, engine, and propeller systems to FAA standards. You will document maintenance paperwork and work in an environment focused on safety and quality.

The role welcomes new grads and experienced A&P mechanics, with training provided for avionics. Expect overtime, occasional travel, and a competitive wage range with benefits.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license or AMT is required.
• Students who have completed most coursework may apply.
• New grads and experienced A&P mechanics encouraged to apply.
• Experience with Pratt and Whitney PT6A engines is preferred.
• Avionics experience is desirable – training provided.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must follow written/verbal instructions and maintain paperwork.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and be physically able to access confined spaces.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of Epic Flight Support, the AfternoonShiftA&P Mechanicwill maintain, repair, and troubleshoot airframe, avionics, engine, and propeller systems to ensure aircraft conformance with FAA regulations and our Part 145 Repair Station manual. You will also troubleshoot to determine malfunctioning parts and recommend part changes or adjustments to aircraft specifications to improve performance. You will document and maintain paperwork for maintenance according to regulations. As part of the experimental aviation world, the ideal candidate will understand the safety of flight issues and correct items that are not directives from a maintenance manual or safety bulletin.Other expectations may include:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair/replace aircraft systems

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or AMT
• Will consider students who've done the majority of courseworkand stillneed to complete FAA Testing
• New graduates & experienced A&P mechanics encouraged to apply
