Yingling Aviation, Inc. in Wichita, KS is hiring A&P Mechanics for the 7th shift. You’ll perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on piston and turboprop aircraft, with pay set by experience and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The schedule runs Fri–Sun, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., 36 hours paid as 40.

Starting grade and rate vary by verified experience; a $3.00 per hour 7th-shift differential applies to all 40 paid hours.

Qualifikationen

• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate; recent graduates welcome.
• Starting grade depends on verified aircraft maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of FARs governing maintenance, including Part 145.
• Ability to read manuals, catalogs, task cards and maintenance-tracking systems.
• Experience with piston engines and PT6A and/or Garrett TPE331 engines is a plus.
• For Grade 2 and above: hands-on piston engine and PT6A/TPE331 experience required.
• Strong documentation habits and a clean safety record.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and shift discipline.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work 7th shift regularly.

Aufgaben

• Perform maintenance, inspections, repairs, modifications and checks on piston and turboprop aircraft per FAA rules and manuals.
• Troubleshoot systems and identify root causes, not just symptoms.
• Align work with QA standards; ensure proper inspection and return to service.
• Prepare accurate maintenance records and log time in Corridor.
• Complete tasks within estimated labor hours while upholding quality.
• Complete company and OEM training on aircraft models maintained.
• Coordinate with QA, Planning, Engineering and Parts; inform crew lead of delays.
• Conduct pre/post-flight inspections and routine maintenance per approved data.
• Service oxygen, nitrogen and air conditioning systems; inspect/repair fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics and ENV systems.
• Check/adjust control cable tensions, install/rig flight controls, troubleshoot avionics.
• Senior roles: lead diagnostics, engine runs, special projects and mentoring juniors.
• Maintain smooth shift handoffs and keep work moving without supervision.
