Job summary

Textron Aviation in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time A&P or AMT mechanic to support aircraft delivery to customers and our aviation operations.

The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, repair and reassembly of aircraft systems, plus turbine engine troubleshooting and run-ups. A&P license or partial license with 6 months to full may be required. A generous sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• A&P License, or partial license with the ability to obtain full license within 6 months.
• Experience as an A&P Mechanic or mechanical repair of vehicles OR AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) with varied jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of mechanical duties involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer.
• Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair and engine run-ups.
