Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic

This job involves tasks such as performing routine checks and repairs, keeping records of inventory, and identifying faults with components of the plane. A&P mechanics often work in hangars, repair stations, and on airfields.

Qualifications
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with computer-based technical data programs and research of technical manuals
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of airframe and power plant systems
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, lift up to 70 pounds, and work at heights
  • Own tools required
  • Experience with CRJ and ERJ aircraft and sheet metal work is a plus
  • Customer service orientation, safety focus, and team player attitude
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Ability to pass FAA-mandated drug and alcohol testing
Job Description
  • Perform inspections and maintenance per FAA and manufacturer standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems and components
  • Perform structural repairs including sheet metal and composite work
  • Certify all work as per regulations and company standards
  • Complete all documentation and computer entries accurately
  • Assist and train other technicians
  • Participate in ongoing training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Schedule
  • Flexible overtime, including weekends and call-outs
  • 8- or 10-hour shifts
  • Monday to Friday, with weekend availability
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year aircraft maintenance experience
License/Certification
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required
