Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably Bombardier CL600 series.
  • Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraft.
  • Inspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and tooling.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician you will carry out aircraft inspections, troubleshoots technical discrepancies and executes repairs of company aircraft. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation of troubleshooting equipment. Coordinates materials and tooling requirements for the completion of work assignments.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraft
  • Proficient in use of electronic test equipment, voltage or amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics
  • Inspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and tooling
  • Coordinate work as required with contract maintenance personnel or vendors
  • Participate in company safety management system and follow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standards
  • Communicate discrepancies to the Chief of Maintenance found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditions
  • Ensure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company procedures prior to aircraft departure
  • Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraft
  • Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work
  • Perform Manual and Aircraft parts inventories as required
  • Assist other company departments to ensure on-time departure of company aircraft
  • Additional duties assigned by Chief of Maintenance

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years of aircraft maintenance experience (Bombardier CL600 series – Preferred)
  • Must possess a Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License or Valid Transport Canada AME M2 License
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in variable weather conditions
  • Ability to lift parts and equipment
  • Able to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays
  • Must possess valid passport and be able to travel occasionally for AOG recovery and special projects

Medical Requirements:

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
