Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Instructors at our Duluth, GA campus to train the next generation of FAA-certified mechanics in the Part 147 program.

You'll deliver FAA-aligned curriculum in both classroom and active hangar environments, mentoring students and transitioning veterans with military aviation background into instructional roles. A 5-day paid instructor training program is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; A&P preferred but not required for entry.
• Associate degree in aviation or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Teach FAA Part 147-aligned curriculum in classroom and hangar settings.
• Deliver hands-on instruction to train students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical maintenance skills used by AMTs and aviation techs.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Support curriculum updates and coordinate with program leadership.
• Create a structured, safety-focused learning environment.
• Maintain lab equipment and training materials.
