Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is seeking a licensed A&P Mechanic to maintain and repair In-Flight Entertainment systems on commercial aircraft. The role includes troubleshooting, testing, and replacing electronic assemblies, with shifts including night/graveyard hours.

Compensation features hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Ideal candidates have an A&P license (or pending) and relevant avionics experience; readiness to pass

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Airframe & Powerplant License, or a related certificate of equal value, is required.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening (marijuana included).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be open to most shifts (Night/Graveyard included).
• 0–1 year experience in a mechanical or electrical technician position preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of fundamental electrical mechanics or related experience is highly preferred, but not required.
• 1+ years of IFE or avionics experience is highly preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure extended periods of sitting/standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and alterations to In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems on aircraft.
• Troubleshoot electronic units and cabling to line-replaceable modules.
• Identify repairs to restore functionality and replace defective components.
• Operate vehicle on airport property and interact with customers.
• Document testing and repairs using computers and barcode systems.
• Assist in tracking spares inventory and receiving parts.
