Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled helicopter maintenance technician to perform daily inspections and ensure airworthiness in accordance with FAA and hospital standards. The ideal candidate holds a current FAA A&P license and has at least one year of helicopter experience, with availability for a 7 on/7 off, 10-hour shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Must reside within an hour of Huntsville, TX.

Qualifications

Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
Minimum 1 year helicopter maintenance experience.
Willing to work 7 on/7 off, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Must live within an hour commute to Huntsville, TX.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of helicopters’ structure, engine systems, rotating components, control systems, and fluid levels to certify airworthiness.
Document operational hours in log books and maintenance records; update status boards.
Check hours against FAA and engine manufacturer standards to assess wear.
Perform routine cleaning of aircraft, servicing area, and landing area.
Maintain inventory of parts; order parts as needed.
Communicate mechanical status to pilots, engineers, and manufacturers’ reps to determine airworthiness.
Ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety; adhere to Memorial Hermann policies and standards.
Support professional growth; mentor junior staff and act as a resource.
