Job summary

PHI Health in Texas is seeking an A&P-licensed aircraft mechanic with 2+ years of maintenance experience to service our helicopters. You will inspect, repair, and maintain airframes and powerplants to ensure airworthiness and readiness for emergency missions.

This role involves field-base work, travel between bases, night shifts when required, and participation in safety programs. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered to join our life-saving team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
• Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
• Must pass pre-placement physical exam including rough/physical assessment, drug screening and background check.
• Willingness to travel and work night shifts when required.
• Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and perform maintenance to ensure airworthiness.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of any schedule or aircraft changes.
• Maintain field-base aircraft and manage spare parts as needed.
• Document work on aircraft logs and forms to meet FAA/PHI Health standards.
• Record RAMCO entries and prepare status reports for maintenance.
• Coordinate with Lead Mechanic and AMBS for timely job completion.
