Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN - KEYE
Reports to: Director of Maintenance

Your Impact

As an Aircraft (A&P) Mechanic Technician at Jet Access, you will perform critical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diverse aircraft models to ensure the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. This role combines technical expertise with meticulous attention to detail, diagnosing malfunctions and executing comprehensive maintenance procedures across airframe, powerplant, and aircraft systems while maintaining strict compliance with FAA regulations and company quality standards.

Your Competitive Edge
  • Base Salary of $30.00-55.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly
  • Overtime pay for all hours over 40.
  • $6.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift
  • $2.00 per Travel premium for AOG assignments
What The Days Look Like
  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • On call or evening/weekend hours may be required for urgent maintenance needs
Advanced Maintenance & System Repairs
  • Perform intermediate and heavy maintenance tasks independently on airframe, powerplant, and propeller systems
  • Execute turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run‑ups with precision
  • Conduct comprehensive airframe system and component changes with thorough systems checkout
  • Install service bulletins and modification kits on airframes and engines according to manufacturer specifications
  • Remove, disassemble, repair, and install replacement parts while testing aircraft systems for optimal performance
Technical Analysis & Documentation
  • Interpret complex technical manuals, engineering drawings, and blueprints to guide maintenance procedures
  • Complete all Aircraft Manufacturer Scheduled Maintenance items with meticulous attention to detail
  • Sign off on accomplished work including troubleshooting deferred maintenance items with proper documentation
  • Build accurate customer invoices using labor calculations, purchase orders, and parts mark‑up calculations
  • Ensure proper recording of all maintenance tasks on company documents and regulatory compliance forms
Quality Assurance & Safety Leadership
  • Perform routine inspections and comprehensive troubleshooting of airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems
  • Utilize precision equipment including tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and specialized hand tools
  • Maintain constant vigilance for safety protocols while ensuring work adheres to the highest quality standards
  • Monitor operations to reduce excessive labor costs and ensure efficient maintenance procedures
  • Verify proper equipment usage, acceptable parts installation, and approved hardware compliance
Equipment Operation & Tool Management
  • Operate all power tools and specialized equipment necessary to accomplish maintenance assignments
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate readings and quality work
  • Select appropriate tools and equipment for specific maintenance tasks and aircraft configurations
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment according to safety protocols
  • Coordinate with parts department for timely acquisition of components and approved hardware
Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to share technical knowledge and best practices
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with evolving aircraft technologies and regulations
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices as neededCommunicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding maintenance status and requirements
  • Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Access’s continued growth and success
What Will Make You Successful
Required Skills & Experience
  • Current A&P License required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston aircraft maintenance in MRO environment
  • Demonstrated experience in aircraft/flight maintenance, modifications, or airframe sheet metal maintenance
  • Proficiency operating all power tools and equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications with understanding of jet and piston airframe and engine principles
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet operational demands
  • Capability to read and respond to email communications effectively
