Job summary

AerSale, Inc. is seeking a qualified A&P Aircraft Mechanic II to perform maintenance in accordance with FAA data and company manuals. The role requires a valid A&P certificate, 4–6 years of experience, and the ability to work safely in a hangar/ramp environment.

Candidates must pass DOT drug testing and background checks. The position includes 50 lb lifting, shift flexibility, and the potential for additional licensing incentives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review work assignments, obtain tools and parts, and complete jobs following FAA data and manuals.
  • Ensure all work cards are completed and signed.
  • Verify calibrated tooling is current and noted on paperwork.
  • Maintain safety and environmental health compliance per company policies.
  • Return work to service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job Description:
Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay Rate Range:$22.00 to $36.00
  • Additional Hourly PayRate:$2.00 per license
Job Summary:

The A&P Aircraft Mechanic II will ensure that all work accomplished is in accordance with current FAA approved technical data. Adheres to quality maintenance standards in accordance with the company’s Repair Station Manual/Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM) and other applicable manuals such as company and regulatory guidance materials; to include Airworthiness Directives Ads, AMM Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, SRM Structural Repair Manual WDM Wiring Diagram Manual.

Essential and Responsibilities:
  • This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Responsible for reviewing work assigned, obtaining tools and necessary parts, and completing the job in a timely manner following the applicable manuals without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Ensure that all routine, non-routine, and customer request work cards are correctly completed and properly signed off.
  • Verify calibrated tooling used is current and properly noted on paperwork.
  • Ensure that employees are always kept safe by following the company’s written policies regarding environmental health and safety. The safety and protection of personnel, environment and property is our number one goal.
  • Perform all work assigned in accordance with approved or accepted FAA data.
  • Maintain the premises in a clean and organized manner.
  • Return work to service.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other management personnel.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Required.
  • 4-6 years of experience.
  • Large commercial aircraft experience preferred.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary preemployment test for drugs as per DOT regulations.
  • Depending on location, you may be required to pass the required background checks for TSA FBI etc. to obtain an airport issued badge such as SIDA, AOA, or any other badge required by the airport authority. If required by the location, passing this and obtaining the badge is a condition of employment since the badge allows you access into the worksite.

Work Environments:
  • Hangar and ramp atmosphere. Must be able to work in uncontrolled climate conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
  • Normal or corrected vision and hearing is required.
