Job summary

Pcapower in Versailles, Kentucky is seeking a qualified Lineman with a Class A or B CDL and CPR certification to install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution systems both overhead and underground. You will work with line trucks, aerial booms, and other equipment, climbing poles and performing live-line work safely.

You will lead apprentices, train crews, and assist during emergencies while upholding strict safety standards and handling physically demanding tasks daily.

Qualifications

Job Summary

As a Lineman with a Class A or B designation and a CDL, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment. This includes working on both overhead and underground systems using a variety of tools and equipment such as line trucks, aerial booms, helicopters, ladders, lifts, and wire pulling equipment. The role involves activities like pole climbing, hot sticking, and operating switch gears safely.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Class A or B CDL and Medical Card.
• Ability to work on energized or de-energized circuits without direct supervision.
• Completion of a minimum of 3 years of formal training, a certificate of completion of formal training, or 8 years of on-the-job training.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including digging trenches, moving heavy objects, and working at heights.
• Must pass pre‑employment substance abuse testing and a background check.
