Job summary

Chain Electric Company seeks an experienced A-Lineman to safely perform skilled electrical work in distribution and transmission systems. The role involves operating in construction, maintenance, and occasional supervision, with exposure to weather hazards and energized equipment.

Essential duties include laddering into high-risk tasks, adhering to safety standards, reading diagrams, and coordinating with teammates.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years directly related experience.
Valid CDL-B license.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to read and follow instructions.
Willingness to travel on short notice.
Ability to work without supervision and communicate well.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety practices and procedures on all jobsites.
Open switches or attach grounding devices to remove hazards.
Climb poles or use bucket trucks to access equipment.
Place insulating materials over conductors and joints.
Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground systems and substations.
Inspect and test power lines to locate problems with instruments.
String conductors between poles and other structures, set lines in place.
Test conductors to ensure correct connections and safety.
Pull up cables from reels and lay underground cables in trenches.
Dig trenches, set poles, and splice cables as needed.
