The Division of Allergy and Immunology at the Barbara and Donald Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is seeking a Board Certified Pediatrician or Internist Clinical Physician Scientist specializing in atopic disease. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in drug desensitization and/or food allergy, at the assistant/associate professor level to join the A&I faculty. Preferred candidates will hold an MD or MD/PhD with experience in clinical trials and a strong record in clinical or translational research.
The Division serves a large population of children and adults with atopic diseases and genetically defined primary immunodeficiency. It also treats secondary and acquired immunodeficiency resulting from autoimmune diseases or cancer treatments. The division includes a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center with a research lab within The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. The team comprises 9 faculty members, 4 fellows, 3 PAs, 1 FNP, a Doctor of Pharmacy, a Pharmacist, and 5 nurses. There are four centers of excellence: Food Allergy Center, Drug Allergy and Desensitization Center, Pediatric Asthma Center, and Primary Immunodeficiency Disease Center.
