Job summary

CompHealth recruits general surgeons to cover a level-2 trauma hospital setting, including 24-hour call coverage and endoscopy procedures. The role includes hospital-based practice with trauma exposure and credentialing support throughout the placement process.

You will be partnered with a CompHealth recruiter backed by teams handling housing, travel arrangements, licensing, and malpractice coverage to streamline the assignment. Expect support through every detail of the job lifecycle.

Qualifications

• ATLS certification is required.
• Board certification is required.
• Endoscopy procedures (upper and lower) are required.
• Experience in general surgery and trauma settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage in a hospital setting.
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage (7 am to 7 am).
• Support a level-2 trauma environment with acute surgical care.
• Perform upper and lower endoscopies as part of routine care.
• Assist with credentialing, licensing, and travel arrangements as needed.
