About the Role

We are supporting a defense and aerospace environment seeking a Buyer to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, and contract execution.

This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within regulated environments and strong vendor management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies and timelines
• Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs in compliance with procurement policies
• Perform supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and selection
• Maintain strong communication and follow-up with vendors and suppliers
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, delivery, and quality
• Conduct negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions

Contract Administration

• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance
• Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, and procurement guidelines
• Resolve contract issues and supplier-related challenges

Compliance & Reporting

• Maintain procurement documentation and audit-ready records
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and program teams
• Track procurement metrics, budgets, and reporting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Experience in procurement or purchasing (preferably in aerospace/defense)
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defense or government contracting environments
• Certifications such as CPSM or CFCM
• Familiarity with DCMA guidelines

Compensation

• Estimated hourly range: $35–$38/hr (W2)
• Final rate will depend on experience and interview evaluation
