Job Purpose: The Maintenance Control Supervisor is responsible to the VP of Civil Operations for day to day leadership, scheduling, work assignments, and supervision to all personnel assigned to the Maintenance Control department. The Maintenance Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing support to deployed aircraft and aircrews and coordinating home-base response to maintenance issues. The Maintenance Control Supervisor provides updates to Operations leaders and supports the Operations Program Managers with data and decision making.

Job Description

  • Direct, plan and disseminate details of daily work assignments for Maintenance Control personnel
  • Assist, direct and supervise all personnel assigned to the Maintenance Control Department
  • Monitor employee performance to maintain acceptable standards of quality and performance
  • Facilitate operational and maintenance advice and solutions to mechanics/pilot-mechanics on remote and VBW based assignments
  • As required, coordinate with Project Managers to develop aircraft and flight crew schedules
  • Compile and update pre-and post-flight data used for creating operational status reports
  • Provide flight following services in accordance with company policies to ensure the SOC and Managers are aware of any deviations to flight schedules
  • Ensure company procedures are followed when scheduling flights and assigning flight crews
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance status of company aircraft in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain, review, and approve employee time corrections within 24 hours of correction
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified Applicants Will

  • Possess a valid and current FAA A&P certificate
  • Have experience in managing aircraft fleet and maintenance scheduling
  • Be familiar with flight and maintenance operations
  • Be able to work within an intense, high-paced work environment
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills within a matrix management structure
  • Be proficient in use of Flight Operations Software (FOS) and Microsoft Office Suite 0(Excel and Word)
  • Be able to work 10 or 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required
  • Possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within six months of hire.

Job Experience: Demonstrated performance in scheduling, troubleshooting, maintaining, modifying and improving all areas of aviation systems including electrical, sheet metal, general airframe and power plant in a well-recognized medium sized aviation operation is preferred. Experience in high tempo operational environments is considered a plus.
